This section is an archive of old news and headlines.
Hello folks. Since late February, access to this webpage has been difficult for many visitors. My host, Tripod has been suspending MINIATURE-ART several times daily (up to 2 hours) for excessive bandwidth consumption. Natrually I disagree, but there is little I can do to refute their claim.
The suspension of MINIATURE-ART is frustrating for many of you, but none more than me. At this time I cannot afford to purchase a domain name and a reliable server, but someday I will. My goal is to always keep MINIATURE-ART as a free source of reference for all modelers. If you can't find MINIATURE-ART, please try again a little while later. In the meantime, I'll do my best to re-edit the images inside so they will load faster while keeping the quality high. Thanks for your support!
Another update at Miniature-Art! This time it the long awaited BloodQuest miniatures! Numerous delays due to time constraints prevented me from adding pictures to this webpage, but armed with a new digital camera you'll find high quality images of the Exiles in the Warhammer 40K Squad section.
Also the Links Page has been updated with new content!
Happy New Year! To start off 2002, there's quite a bit of new stuff to view:
1)It's been almost 2 months since the last update on MINIATURE-ART, but in that time I've been busy writing a new article on converting Space Marines, specifically the BloodQuest squad. It's a big one; over 8 pages of text. Check the Hobby Tips and Articles section for it!
2)In the Warhammer 40K Vehicles section, I've included a Rhino APC conversion.
3)Tim Lison's excellent Nurgle command Squad graces the Guest Galleries!
Finally a shout out to the members of The Bolter and Chainsword, modeling and painting forum, as well as fellow UltraMarines at the Codex:Adeptus Astartes forum:)
Welcome back to MINIATURE-ART! It's been a year since I debuted the original version of this website. To mark it's 1st year anniversary, I would like to introduce the new Hobby Tips and Articles section. This is a pretty big step for me since the original goal of MINIATURE-ART was simply a gallery of my work. I'm now taking my first step into making MINIATURE-ART an internet hobby resource and guide. If visitor feedback is positive, then I'll be happy to publish more articles in the future. For now read my article on "Selection and Care of Paintbrushes"!!!
I have created a few banners if you wish to link to this website. Just click on the mailbox logo and select Banners Page.
Also if you happen to visit NYC, please stop by the Compleat Stratagist on 33St. between 5th and Madison Ave.
My BloodQuest Squad will be on display for a short while.
Since Games Day/Golden Demon 2001, I've been itching to put up images of my BloodQuest Squad that earned me the Golden Demon Slayer Sword. It's a true honor to join the ranks of the other past winners, and I am grateful to the well wishers that have e-mailed me.
Instead of simply posting images of my Blood Angles Squad as I've intended, Exile-Films has offered to host Leonatos and company on their website, complete with an interview! You can find the link on the left side menu bar. I hope you enjoy, and feel our collaborative efforts are well worth the wait:)
Welcome back to Miniature-Art! I would like to thank you all for being so patient while I repaired, and repainted my Games Day/Golden Demon miniatures. For your viewing pleasure, Maximus can now be found in the Warhammer 40K miniatures section. If you think you've seen him already at Games Day then you'll be in for a surprise!
Also stay tuned for breaking news regarding the Golden Demon Sword winning BloodQuest squad!
It's been a while since the last update (due to Golden Demon project secrecy), but sharp eyed visitors will noticed that this webpage has undergone a bit of reorganization. All the Warhammer 40K Squads have been grouped together now, and Leonatos has been placed within the Warhammer 40K Miniatures section. Hopefully this will make navigation easier, as images of my Games Day/Golden Demon 2001 miniatures will make their appearance quite soon!
Hello folks, I hope all is well with everyone. If you somehow missed the urgent "alert" above, please take the time to click onto the link, and be on the look out for the missing miniature. The owner is offering a reward for its safe return, and as honest dedicated hobbyists, we owe it to ourselves to band together and help out in any way we can.
I'm sure Mr. Major will appreciate ANY help he can get.
Hi, and thanks for coming back to MINIATURE-ART. No new updates for now, but if you are interested, my "interview" with Maximum Warhammer is up. BTW Maximum Warhammer has the most prolific "News" section I have ever seen. They update it daily with links to new and interesting miniature and painting related pages on the interent. You can find the link on the left nav-bar.
Hello everyone! Just a quick note: For those of you who have e-mailed me, yes I do expect to author articles on painting technique in the future, but it have to be a few months from now when I have time to properly edit the text and images etc.
BOBBY- who is busy converting and painting his Batman action figures:)
Hello, and welcome back! Here in NYC we're about to be hit with a snow storm, the likes of which we haven't see in over 20 years! Hopefully I'll be apartment bound, and will get to work on a few more miniatures. For the month of March 2001, I've posted images of a Unicorn in the Fantasy miniatures section. Debuting in the new Warhammer 40k Miniatures section, Captain Diogenes arrives to fight in the name of the Emperor. As always feel free to e-mail me with your comments and suggestions.
Until next time,
Hello, and welcome back! To celebrate the return of Miniature-Art, I have added an Ultramarines Tactical Squad for your viewing pleasure. Click on the link on the left nav-bar to see these vintage Space Marines. As always feel free to e-mail me with your comments and suggestions.
Hello, and welcome to the new MINIATURE-ART homepage! Since December 2000, my previous homepage became unuseable due to internal errors from my host, Tripod.
Hopefully this new home (with a shorter url) will be more stable, and will continue to be a source of inspiration and delight for miniature painters everywhere!
