The Red Witch is an old miniature (The Black Sorceress) sculpted by Julie Gurthie for Grenadier, as part of their Fantasy Personalities line from the late 1980's. They are currently availble from Adruin Miniatures.
It was my first concentrated effort at layering highlights on clothing and skin tones. Prior to this I experimented my layering technique just on one or two parts of other miniatures.
This is also my premiere attempt at bright highlights with deep shadows, while laying on the colors as smooth as possible with no discernable brush marks. In a way, she's the mother of all my other miniatures!
